SNOW****SNOW****SNOW****SNOW

Tonight as Santa and Mrs. Claus left the lodge around 6:14pm., just a very light flurry floated down.  It didn't stay on the ground but it's the first snow that Kevin and I have experienced in more than eleven years.  Call us crazy, but it was a thrill!

Time to wear our winter hats.  If my ears are warm, I'm warm all over.

This is the last weekend of Santa's Magical Animal Kingdom here on the Farm Safari.  Preparations have been intense.  Moving the Scottish Highland bulls, "reindeer" and other critters close to Santa's Grotto for viewing involved erecting separate pens for each.  I can still see Kevin and Brendan herding Harry and Henry down the road, hoping they didn't get gored.  Whew!

The great 24 foot table in the great room has been finished, in need only of a sealer once the wood has totally dried.  It is gorgeous.  Kevin and the assorted Irishmen did an excellent job.  I had the honor of decorating it with a holiday centerpiece for its premier this weekend.

Kevin and I had occassion to enjoy our second evening of local entertainment this past week at the Parish Hall in Ballynacarrigy.  We now have a new, higher standard for storytellers.  Liam has raised the bar for all to follow.  He was absolutely hilarious.  And we heard it from Liam first: Tiger Woods is no longer a Tiger.  Tiger is now a Cheetah.

Liam looks like the character he is . . . .

and spoon player:

Our internet access should improve with the replacement of the antenna tomorrow.  Keep your fingers crossed for us.

I must give a shout out to my Sarasota gal pals.  It was great hearing your voices.  I miss you all so much.  Your laughter was music to my ears.  Much love to each of you.
